Connect4Change helps to improve the income and employment opportunities for 650,000 small-scale producers and entrepreneurs. The Connect4Change consortium supports 200 producer organisations in 7 countries. By using information and communication technology (ICT) such as a mobiles and computers, our partners get better access to markets, can improve productivity and get better access to markets.
With our support, economic development programme partners make use of a wide variety of ICT solutions that are carefully selected by the partner in collaboration with Connect4Change.
The programme ICT for Economic Development is implemented in seven countries: Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Peru and Zambia.

Web-based platforms to centralise information and to be able to analyse agricultural trends on the longer term, or upgrading current static websites to more interactive websites
Farmer / market information system development and supporting activities
Multi-media solutions to improve the pedagogic quality of agriculture information provided to illiterate producers and producers with limited formal education
Information centres with Internet access and computers to enable training in basic ICT accessing, using and analysing digital information by extension staff and producer organisations
Radio services to expand the outreach of information services to a much wider target group especially in isolated rural areas, in particular price information and production-related information
Mobile services to collect information and to disseminate basic information such as price information and weather forecasts to farmers
Advising on type of (internet) connections needed that are applicable, as well as (solar) power solutions
